Blah. That's the feeling when you try your best to show someone you're excited to see them, and you're met with an outcome that's the total opposite of what you imagined. Why do our brains fool us into thinking "oh, this is exactly how it'll go," when in reality it's nothing close? Why do we do this to ourselves, just to end up disappointed? Such a silly thing to do.
I mean, some outcomes turn out better than expected too. Maybe if we walked into every situation without expecting anything, it'd just be a fun surprise every time — living in the moment. That sounds a little crazy though, when you think about how we all tend to look back and dread the future instead...
